Day 1: Trail Start – Cape Kormakitis to Kayalar (14 km)
Begin your journey at Cape Kormakitis, trekking along coastal paths with stunning sea views. Pass through lush pine forests and charming villages. End the day in Kayalar, a traditional Cypriot village known for its stone houses.
Day 2: Kayalar to Lapta (16 km)
Head inland, crossing through rugged terrain and olive groves. Enjoy panoramic views of the coastline as you hike towards the village of Lapta, one of the oldest villages in Northern Cyprus, where you can explore ancient churches and enjoy local hospitality.
Day 3: Lapta to Karaman (Karmi) (12 km)
Today’s route takes you through scenic landscapes with rolling hills and pine forests. Visit the picturesque village of Karaman (Karmi), known for its beautifully restored stone houses and quaint streets.

Day 4: Karaman to St. Hilarion Castle (13 km)
Hike towards one of the trail’s highlights, St. Hilarion Castle. This majestic castle offers panoramic views of Kyrenia and the coastline. Spend time exploring the medieval ruins before descending to your overnight stop near the castle.
Day 5: St. Hilarion Castle to Bellapais (15 km)
Continue along the mountain ridge, with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. Your destination is the serene village of Bellapais, home to the stunning 13th-century Bellapais Abbey, where you can explore the Gothic architecture.
Day 6: Bellapais to Buffavento Castle (17 km)
A challenging but rewarding day awaits as you trek towards Buffavento Castle, perched high on a rocky peak. The climb is steep, but the views from the top are unparalleled. Descend to a nearby village to rest.
Day 7: Buffavento Castle to Kantara Castle (18 km)
Finish your journey with a hike towards Kantara Castle, the easternmost of the three mountain castles. Enjoy breathtaking vistas over the Karpas Peninsula and the northern coast before concluding your adventure.
